I’ve spent the last two years and about $34,000 (on credit cards) trying to figure this out.  If you read my bio, you know that I’ve been involved with everything from vitamins to affiliate ebook marketing.  In the process, I learned why most of it doesn’t work for people like us.  

95% of all small business owners, salespeople, and “internet marketers” make less than $100,000 a year? And less than 1% of these make more than $250,000 a year?

But more importantly, here’s why?

Because they’ve never had the kind of “real world” training in marketing, psychology and advertising needed to make the phone ring, drive website traffic, and bring in business. Instead, they buy into the myth that says, “If you build it, they will come.”

Think about it. Who taught you and nearly every other business professional out there how to market?

Professors (who don’t have anything to market), big corporations (who play by an entirely different set of rules), advertising agencies (who have their own agendas), peers (who aren’t exactly raking in the dough), mentors (who’ve been in the business for 20+ years and still couldn’t retire tomorrow if they wanted to), and who else???

In the world of theory, like at colleges and big corporations, the “rules” about advertising and making money in business SEEM to make a lot of sense. The only problem is you don’t operate in the land of academia or with a Fortune 500’s budget. You see, no amount of “Getting your name out there” is going to matter if it isn’t creating immediate responses.

What ever business you get into, it is CRUCIAL for you to have an automated  marketing system that is easy to repeat and duplicate. 

Whether you join a work at home opportunity or start your own event planning business, If you can’t predict and measure how business will come in, you’ll be out of business, Period.

So here’s my suggestion…..find others who are successful at what you wish to pursue and align yourself with them.  Learn their secrets, pick their brains, get their advice.  This is the quickest way. If they are successful, trust me -  they have spent plenty of time and money figuring it out…..so you don’t have to.
